We have returned to Malaysia form our month on land in Western Australia. We had a wonderful time with the girls and their families. Christmas was a busy time and we were so pleased that we were able to spend it with Katherine, Kevin and Sybella.
Western Australia was hot and dry.
Our entry into 2012 was very quiet. 2 carloads of people went to the Mandurah foreshore to watch the early fireworks. Two little girls were spellbound. Then home again and struggling to stay awake we toasted the new year – just us – the big kids had gone to bed too and then very shortly after midnight we were too.
The highlight of our trip was to be witnesses to Katherine and Kevin's wedding. It was a beautiful affair on South Beach, Fremantle, at sunset. Family and friends then celebrated with pizza. The bride looked beautiful and the flower girl, although cold, did her job well.
We spent time in Mundaring with family and got to know the kids better. It was very hectic but rewarding.
We did a bit of touring around Two Rocks to Bunbury, and caught up with friends we hadn't seen for too many years.
We were given tickets to see Shakespeare in the Park. A hilarious version of A Comedy of Errors performed in Kings Park with the chortle of kookaburras and frogs from the nearby pond and ducks waddling through the audience. It was a beautiful evening, lovely venue and well performed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Now we are back we have to prepare the engine bay for the new Yanmar - arriving very soon now.
